Second Annual Great Potato Drop to Occur on New Years Eve

New York City lowers a ball in Times Square on New Years Eve. In Boise, Idaho we lower a 17 foot lighted Great Potato. Tens of thousands of hardy souls attended last year's first annual celebration. Even more are expected this year. The potato will be lowered from the new Zion's Bank building at 8th and Idaho Streets. The festivities will begin well before midnight with music on three stages, food vendors and television and radio coverage. The evening will end with fireworks.
